Anusara is a Sanskrit word which means ‘Flowing with Grace’. A form of Hatha Yoga, Anusara Yoga blends clear and universal principles of alignment based on sound biomechanical and anatomical principles and a heart oriented, joyful and respectful approach to practice.
At the very heart of Anusara is it’s first principle, opening to Grace. We open to the mystery of life, the intangible element of beauty as it is expressed within and all around us. In our asana practice, opening to grace invites us focus our attention not only on the form of the body in a pose, but on the attitude and actions in the pose, resulting in a full expression from the inside out.
