Explore an integrated, experiential knowledge of anatomy that deepens your understanding in your own practice and echoes out into your life. Discover how a deeper understanding of your embodiment contributes to growing strength, freedom and healing in the body.

In this workshop we will inhabit yoga as a way to bring intention into action from the inside out as we inquire into:

• The body, structure, tissue types, and connectivity
• Bony and energetic axes of the body and why curves and clear pathways matter
• Structure and movement of major joints of shoulders and hips
• Connective tissue: what it is, how it functions, and how the way in which we approach our practice contributes to wellness of these vital tissues

Our time together will be an exploration of wholeness rather than one focused on isolating and naming parts (which is a common approach to anatomical learning). We’ll be looking at principles in action and networks of connectivity that create and support movement and explore how our practice contributes to optimal function throughout our lifespan.

Explore simple principles from yoga and Ayurveda to support you and yours in spring. Come prepared for a one hour yoga practice focussing on refreshing and renewing to start followed by an information session and discussion.

Yoga for Kids Age 3 - 5 years image

Kids yoga empowers children, gives them opportunity to explore their body and emotions and what’s more gives them tools to move through those emotions.
Kids learn best through having fun so expect singing, dancing, connection and laughter all weaved through the poses, breathing exercises and relaxation that makes up a yoga class.  image

Teaching children from a young age to focus, honer and look after their bodies through stretching and strengthening, to connect to the breath and relax is an amazing gift to share, creating mindful and well adjusted beings. 

Parents are encouraged to join in and be apart of the experience, to create deeper bonds and connections as a family.

5 Week Foundations of Yoga Practice Courses

This course has been designed and refined over many years by Clare to offer the principles of yoga in a sequential way so that you experience the wonder, the potential, and the efficacy of the practice as it applies in your own life. It is appropriate for those new to yoga, those who are returning to practice after a break for whatever reason and those who have been consistently or intermittently practicing yoga and would like to refresh, ground, or deepen their understanding of the universal principles of the practice.

Thank you for checking out our offerings! If you are interested in starting yoga with us and the Foundations Beginners course dates don’t work for you please feel free to come along to our Foundation classes, or if you have some previous yoga experience and do not have any major therapeutic needs then come along to Foundation/Deepening.
